Napoleon

The Napoleon System offers multiple expandable channels of world-class reproduction for both for home theater and for music.

A Napoleon system rests on two important elements: a subwoofer that is a powerful contender in its own product category, and a "satellite" speaker that is virtually a full-range mini-monitor. Subwoofers can never be an afterthought. A Napoleon system includes the acclaimed Thunderbolt, an audiophile-quality powered subwoofer that exhibits unmatched speed, attack, and depth and clean bass to below 20Hz. The Thunderbolt is available separately and is discussed extensively on its own product page. To perform well with a subwoofer as advanced as a Thunderbolt, a satellite must have bass response that comfortably and naturally overlaps with the subwoofer. This assures not only a seamless blend within the bass, but also eliminates the midbass localization problems that plague other compact systems. The Napoleon's twin-slot ports extended low frequency response, easing subwoofer integration. (The Napoleon goes low enough to provide competition to many so-called "full range" mini-monitors, and, indeed, they may be used without subwoofer in small rooms, when space is at a premium.)

The Napoleon also has an outstanding dynamic range capability, which, in combination with the Thunderbolt delivers performance that far exceeds that of much larger floor-standing systems.

The Napoleon system is finished in real wood veneers: the Thunderbolt subwoofer in Black Ash, the satellites in a choice of matching Black Ash or in a complimentary Brazilian Santos Rosewood.
